Introduction

Pacific-rim Laser Damage (PLD) was initiated by Professor Jianda Shao of Shanghai Institute of Optics and Fine Mechanics in China at 2009. This conference was held as a satellite meeting of SPIE Laser Damage Symposium at Boulder. The purpose of this meeting is to communicate with researchers in the field of laser damage and related phenomena especially in Pacific-rim area.Normally, PLD meeting was held biyearly at Shanghai in China, but due to special request of Prof. Shao, PLD meeting will be held in Japan in next year.

We are pleased to announce that the third Pacific-lim Laser Damage (PLD'14) will be held at Pacifico Yokohama, Yokohama, Japan, on April 22 - 24, 2014. PLD '14 provides good opportunities to exchanging the results of research and discussions in close fields in laser damage research.

Presentation Guidelines

For oral presentations

The time allotted to each presentation will be:

Invited Talks: 25 minutes talk + 5 minutes for discussion.
Contributed Talks: 10 minutes talk + 5 minutes for discussion.

A PC video projector will be available through your PC or PC provided at the conference room. Please prepare your presentation in Microsoft Power Point (2003 or later version) or Adobe PDF file format.

For poster presentations

Poster sessions are scheduled on 13:15-15:15, April 23 at ExhibitionHallC. The size of the poster board is 180 cm in a width and 210 cm in a height. We recommend the authors to use A0 size (84.1 cm in a width, 118.9 cm in a height) paper/cloth to prepare their posters.

Authors can attach their posters on the allocated poster board from 9:00, and remove it immediately after the poster session. (The program committee will responsibly dispose posters left after poster session.)

On the poster board, only the paper number will be labeled, so that the paper title, author names, and affiliations should be prepared by the authors.
