開催報告：2024年2月5－9日　MECMATPLA

The 5th edition of our workshop/winter school in the framework of High Energy Density Physics was held in Montgenèvre in the French alps from February 5-9 2024. This school is named as MECMATPLA workshop.
This event gathered 85 participants from 5 different countries: France, Japan, UK, Germany and USA. These participants were distributed as: 35 from France, 25 from UK, 10 from Japan, 7 from Germany, 7 from USA. Among the participants there were 39 academics (scientists and post-docs) and 46 students. The scheduled was organized as the following during the week: on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 2 lectures in the morning (90’) on dedicated topics, with in the afternoon associated applications in 30’ talks. On Wednesday morning we did have an all session on B field in plasmas either laboratory or astrophysics (6 talks). On the afternoon was a long poster session with 35 posters.

All the lectures and topycal presentations were well prepared and educational so very useful especially for young students. (We may organize a similar school in Japan in the future.) This kind of shcool and workshop also helps them to estabilsh their international connections in the wiede valiety fields.
