De La Salle University Students and Staff Visit ILE
On 27 October, the Institute of Laser Engineering (ILE) welcomed 39 students, faculty members, and staff from De La Salle University (DLSU), one of The University of Osaka’s partner institutions in the Philippines.
DLSU has established academic exchange agreements with several schools and departments of The University of Osaka, including those in engineering and public policy.
It also serves as the Philippine hub of our ASEAN Campus Initiative.
In addition, we maintain a liaison office on the DLSU campus.
The visit was conducted as part of the ongoing academic exchange and collaboration between the two universities.
Guided by Professor Chikumoto and Professor Sarukura, the participants toured the exhibition room and observation hall, where they were introduced to the institute’s research facilities, including its large-scale laser systems.

Through presentations on the institute’s activities and research programme, participants gained a deeper understanding of cutting-edge laser science and research conducted at ILE.
ILE remains committed to fostering international collaboration and strengthening global networks in education and research through continued engagement with partner universities worldwide.
