Computing and Networking (CMP)
Summary
Supercomputer-based simulations play an important role in laser fusion research.
The Computing and Networking Office handles the construction and management of versatile, multilevel systems for everything from large-scale simulation systems and experimental database systems for performing implosion simulations and data analysis to email, web, and network systems!
It also provides support for users in the form of creating documentation for programming methods, such as vectorization and parallelization, and for program development support tools and performance data retrieval methods. It also holds workshops and provides individual program consultation.
